ODU InGame Mobile Application
Old Dominion University, located along the Elizabeth River in Norfolk, VA, in the metropolitan Hampton Roads region of coastal Virginia, is a dynamic metropolitan research university. ODU is also home to over 24,000 students, many of which are fans of the university’s athletics program. When the university wanted a new and exciting way to connect with students, fans, and alumni based around their impressive basketball and football programs, they came to Marathon for help.
Solution
Marathon developed ODU InGame, a mobile app that delivers real-time home game statistics right from the scorer's table for football, men's and women's basketball, baseball, and men's and women's soccer. The mobile application is available in the iTunes app store for Apple iPhone and iPad, as well as the Google Play store for Android phones and tablets.
ODU InGame gives fans the ability to navigate among stats summaries, individual stats, and a complete play-by-play display.
Additional Features
- Social: Integrated Twitter functions enable fans and the school to participate in chat sessions related to the game, even down to a specific play. Follow the #ODUSports hashtag.
- Live Audio: Includes ESPN radio and live broadcasting for football and basketball.
- Maps: A map feature that provides filtering, allowing fans to locate ATMs, parking, concessions, first aid stations, nearby restaurants, and other point of interest.
- Info: Enables fans to retrieve information on such topics such as facility and campus policies, fundraising, alumni activities, etc.
