Virginia Business Ranks Marathon Consulting in Top 20 of 2015 Best Places to Work in Virginia

Marathon Consulting, LLC, headquartered in Virginia Beach, was recognized by Virginia Business Magazine as one of the 2015 Best Places to Work in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Marathon was one of 63 nominees in the Small Business category, which included companies with less than 100 employees. Marathon came in at number 19. The honor was presented at an awards luncheon held in Williamsburg, Virginia.  

Best Companies Groups, a Pennsylvania firm, benchmarked the companies on a list of core values: leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training and benefits, pay benefits, and overall employee engagement. In 2014, about 150 companies registered to become one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, and 100 were selected in 3 categories: small (15-99 U.S. employees), midsize (100-249), and large (250 or more).

To be selected, companies submitted information about their culture, annual turnover, benefits, employee satisfaction, compensation, benefits, and employee training opportunities. Each company also had to have a sufficient number of employees respond to an online survey. The judges considered the survey results and comments in making their final selections.
