Marathon Consulting announced the results of the First Annual "Walk/Run to Remember" fundraising event. Marathon served as the Host Sponsor for the event, which raised
over $4,400 in support of the Southeastern Virginia Alzheimer’s Association.
The event was well supported by numerous community members, drawing over 130 participants and 40 volunteers. In addition to Marathon, IntraNexus served as the Silver sponsor and
over 50 other organizations donated various goods and services to make the event a success.

Ms. Lizzie Cornell, a member of the Princess Anne High School Cross Country team, took the lead on both the organization and promotion of the event. Ms. Cornell commented that
the event "allowed me to realize my dream of creating an event that will help people struggling with this devastating illness". She went on to say that she plans to repeat the event
on an annual basis and, "the Hampton Roads community has shown how big our hearts are, even in these challenging economic times, by helping me to get this off the ground".
