Marathon Celebrates Its First Anniversary
Virginia Beach, Virginia April 01, 2007 - April 2007 is a month that has significant meaning to the founders and staff of Marathon Consulting because it gives us the opportunity to celebrate our first full year in business.
Several experiences of this first year make these twelve months especially rewarding. First, Marathon was able to meet its growth and profitability goals. This is an area to which all start-ups can relate. Not only did we grow. We were profitable. This was the result of much hard work and sacrifice on the part of the founders and the staff.
Second, we were able to execute three key components of our Business Plan: sell services that truly help the clients add measurable value to their enterprise; recruit and retain A++ consultants; and, be selective in the choice of clients and opportunities to pursue.
The ability to adhere to these principles was not simply a matter of making a decision and sticking to it. It was made possible, to a large degree, by the clients’ willingness to embrace what we were attempting to do, and the staff who took the leap-of-faith and joined a small IT services firm.
The remainder of 2007 and beyond looks bright. We are developing a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities. We are also defining new ways to deliver our services that will further enhance our ability to bring measurable value to our clients.
