Marathon Consulting's extensive experience with various Web technologies and their evolution over time places the Marathon
consultants in an ideal position to assist clients with the evaluation of their current Web architecture. The
goals of these evaluations can vary. Some are directed at the validation of an upgrade decision already made by
the client. Others assess the architecture’s capability to incorporate a new feature or application. Still
others evaluate the architecture or application to determine if it can go in a different direction to accommodate
wholesale changes in the client’s go-to-market strategy.
Marathon’s evaluations are performed on an objective basis, with the clients’ interests as the sole motivator.
Because Marathon is technically “agnostic”, our goal is to always provide the solution that will best fit the
clients’ overall business needs.
Many clients have also experienced a proliferation of websites within their organization, most often implemented
by savvy individuals in various operating and support departments. In many cases these are developed and made
available to the public with little or no oversight from the IT or enterprise leadership teams. Therefore, the
image and message conveyed to the public can be inconsistent.
Marathon can assist clients by identifying and analyzing the various Website assets that exist in the company.
Further, Marathon can assess their characteristics and determine which ones should be consolidated or retired.
The deliverable from these engagements is a management report that details the characteristics and capabilities of
the current environment, as well as any constraints that the current environment imposes on the client’s plans.
With the client’s goals foremost in mind, Marathon develops and presents a series of recommendations for the
client’s consideration.
