Harris Pezzella
Harris has been in the Information Technology arena since 1985, analyzing, designing and developing end user
applications. His experience was grounded originally in midrange systems and wide area networks, but for most of
his career has centered around the latest Microsoft development tools (Visual Basic, ASP, and .NET). His strong
user interface designs are matched by a very strong database background. He has extensive experience in managing
projects from analysis all of the way through implementation. Harris’ experience covers a wide range of client
industries including many aspects of healthcare (Behavioral Healthcare, Claims Adjudication, Credentialing,
Eligibility/Enrollment, Managed Care, Member Services, Patient Account/Billing, and Pharmacy), wholesale and
retail distribution, manufacturing, insurance, and legal services. Additionally, Harris is a proven leader, with
years or personnel management and mentoring experience within both large organizations and small.
A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Harris is a graduate of The College of William and Mary, taking a Bachelor
of Science degree in Mathematics. Harris now resides in Virginia Beach.
Al Moore
Al has spent 34 years in the IT industry, with 28 of those years dedicated to the IT Services segment.
During his career, he has focused primarily on assisting clients in their efforts to optimize the use of IT to
meet their business goals. Over the years he has supported clients in a wide range of industries including
manufacturing, local and municipal governments, healthcare providers, HMOs, ship repair, port operations,
consumer finance, wholesale and retail distribution, credit card finance, government contracting, and organized
labor. He has demonstrated a consistent pattern of leadership. His most recent position prior to launching
Marathon was that of Managing Director for Keane, Inc. operations in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
His responsibilities included overseeing operations in three offices, including over 350 FTEs and generating $40
million in annual revenue. This, coupled with his years of consulting experience, allows Al to bring valuable
perspectives into play when assisting clients optimize their IT investment.
A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Al is a graduate of Old Dominion University, taking a Bachelor of Science degree
in Business Administration. Al now resides in Virginia Beach.
Ben Ricks
Ben has spent 11 successful years in the IT Services industry, beginning while in school at Virginia Tech,
followed by a two-year stint at Price-Waterhouse-Coopers and six years of employment with Keane, Inc. During this time,
he has been promoted three times, worked on several highly visible projects, and elevated to a leadership position. He
is a leading technical expert in the area of large, Web-based and client/server applications using a broad range of development
tools and leading data base management systems as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. He has served a wide array of industries,
including Education, Energy, Advertising, Tourism, Communications, and Manufacturing. Ben also has his Project Management Professional
(PMP) certification.
A native of Franklin, Virginia, Ben is a Graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, Virginia,
with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems & Accounting,
Tony Cortinas
Tony has spent 9 years in the IT industry, with 7 of those years dedicated to the IT Services segment.
His primary roles are as a lead analyst/designer/developer, specializing in web applications and intranet portals. He started his
IT career in Networking, earning his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification. He then moved on to the web and application
development for various clients in the automotive retail, banking, education, healthcare, local and federal government,
marketing, retail, and real estate industries. He specializes in Microsoft technologies, and has earned his Microsoft
Certified Application Developer (MCAD) certification. He has continued to develop his leadership and Project Management
skills, and has has also obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
A native of Fairfax, Virginia, Tony is a graduate of The College of William and Mary, taking a Bachelor of Business Administration, Information Technology
concentration. Tony now resides in Virginia Beach.
